Searching for files
When you've connected to a room, you can search the files of all users in
the room by clicking Search ->
Search. You can also specify advanced search parameters including file size
and type. When search results are listed, you can organize them by user,
name, size, type, path, open slots, connection speed, and room. If your
search returns a large list of the same files, organizing by open slots
will display those files available for immediate download.
The colored
bubble near the user identifies their connection as:
= fast (T1 or T3),
= medium (cable or DSL)
= slow (dial-up).

Make sure that your search is broad enough to return a result. If the
file you are searching for is very rare, chances are no users in the
room have the file. If your search is broad and you still return no
results, this could be due to firewall restrictions or connection sharing.
You can try the following:
- Entering your IP in the settings dialog
-
If you have a firewall, verify that incoming connections are allowed (or
forwarded) to the port specified in the settings dialog and enable TCP
and UDP traffic (if you can download files but cannot search, UDP packets
are still blocked)
- Use passive mode
